Integrity - Service - Merit
Moreover, by adopting the IB Curriculum at the High School we are also bound into a curricular framework that promotes “International Mindedness.” The IB Organization believes that our goal should be to “develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.”
ISM achieves this goal by providing curricular and co-curricular programs of the highest quality. In interacting through honest, respectful and open communication, we acknowledge our differences and celebrate our diversity as a key landmark of our learning organization. Malcolm Gladwell in his book David and Goliath clearly articulates how you can turn a disadvantage into a positive. ISM has successfully turned the apparent disadvantage of being a school designed for the temporary schooling of expatriate families into an outstanding asset. The InternationalISM of our students and faculty is an incredible strength and the diversity within our school helps achieve respect for human dignity both within the school and in the wider community.
